I knew it felt right to be here on Substack. As someone new to writing online, I couldn't shake this 'weird' feeling on all the other platforms. Then it hit me... there's no community, there's no way to connect with other writers, and there's no way to attract an audience (I started out on Ghost - still love the platform itself, but I can't recommend it for a beginner writer now!).
Hey Roc! So great to have you. Thanks for becoming a premium subscriber. Would love to learn more about your experience with Ghost. At the moment some writers are looking for greener pasture on Ghost for instance but for a beginner with no following Beehiv and Substack are much better because there's some kind of network. Same with ConvertKit Creator Network. I will soon share a video ghost vs Substack. So if there's anything you'd like to share, just send me an ✉️ can't wait to meet you inside our community.
Hi Daniel, think so too 🎉 it's really fun and I love to read all those letters here. So many different voices and so interesting personalities. Thanks for your wonderful feedback ❤️
I think there's one, Katja Größe, who writes about personal finance in German. I'd love to leave her comments but her content is paywalled. So I'm connected but not connected.
Hi Kristina, I have been writing on Substack for three years now, never worried about growth until now. I am wondering how can you help me increase my subscriber numbers.
Totally agree with you! Substack is an awesome platform to kickstart your newsletter journey. Your success story is inspiring, and I love how it combines various functionalities in one place. Keep rocking it! 🚀📰 https://jonahtown.substack.com/
I attended a class by Elle Griffin last year and I was quite excited about Substack. Result: I more than doubled my subscriber list in January 🎉
On top of that, it's way more fun for me to interact with people here than social media. I enjoy reading long form way more than small pieces of content.
Interesting
Nice advice. Thanks for sharing!

Glad to be here alongside you Kristina 😊. This is gonna be a fun journey.
I shot you some thoughts on my experience with Ghost via email. Hope it helps!
Definitely plenty of great reasons to be on Substack. Thanks for another inspiring read.
Sure are

Fantastic numbers, Kristina.
You're right
Hey Denis, you're also connected to some writers from Germany, am I right? Thanks so much for your reply. Means a lot. Talk soon, Kristina

Also, congrats on 3600 subscribers!!
wow, I love her featured images. I love her aesthetic and the way she formats her posts.
I really like the distinctive style she's developed!
Should I know Elle Griffin? Will check her out, Kenny :D
What was the secret for your subscriber growth? The biggest takeaway from her course?
Interact with people on the platform and cultivate relationships! Also, collaborate.
Honestly, I've been having a lot of fun doing this. I'm still learning so it's time-consuming, but I enjoy it :)
I have two wins to celebrate, both came straight from my January stats update.
1. January brought me 141 new subscribers!!! I attribute one viral Notes post for about 50 of those.
2. Kristina, YOUR newsletter brought in the most subs from recommendations last month. Thank you! ❤️
So great to hear, Kristi! 141 new subs is amazing. Glad I could help. You need to give my recommends some more time :D
Next week, I'll share how we'll level this "sexy sheet" up :D I found someone in the Substack universe who can help. Yeah.
I'm in the middle of recording some videos for our school but my baby is sick... but that*s just how mompreneur life is. Crazy.
Talk soon and take care,
Kristina
Whoop whoop, I feel like a superstar. Thanks for the mention. I love substack so much. And I love the awesome community.
It's great being able to support each other with the restack feature.
You ARE a superstar, aren't you :D Positive writing karma pays off :D
Yes it does. xx
$1,75 per week? I read that as $1,750 per week. Or is it $1.75 per week?
Hey Patricia! So nice reading from you.
$1.75 per week :) No worries. It's USD. $7 USD per month.
Kristina,
congratulations on making the next step towards monetization.
Are you from Germany, too?
Have a nice weekend.
You can hear my German accent when watching my videos. I'm glad people like this accent thanks to actors such as Arnold Schwarzenegger :D
Yup. From the North Sea. And you? Always happy to meet other Germans here ^^
Nice to meet you.
Witzig.
Ich habe in Münster Englisch und Sport auf Lehramt studiert, im Anschluss Public Health in Bielefeld.
In Bielefeld!!.an der FHM?
Vielleicht kennen wir uns ja ^^ irgendwoher. Wir sind jetzt an der See. :D Fahren aber immer wieder runter wegen Familie, Arbeit, Freunden
Wie witzig, Phil!! Ich komme aus dem Taunus :D
Haha.
