Thank you Kristina, as a writer preparing for her first book to be published it’s been a learning experience stepping further out into the world so many more people can read my words . x
oh... you can train it for instance by wearing the same colour in your pictures and creating better content so you cna stand out in a sea of "Alex Cristeas". I also have a doppelgaenger. There's another Kristina God in Germany. Through working on my credibility online I managed to rank #1 lol
Great valuable information I’m definitely interested in learning more! You’ll have a new paid subscriber after I post this message! Thank you for your generosity! ✨💖🤗
Hi Nia, don't put all eggs In one 🧺 basket. Create your own space on the Internet that you control and where all your writing and links to your socials come together. That's my recommendation. I'm also in the middle of building my website.
Do you have a website and which other socials do you use?
Thanks for this info! Just claimed my knowledge panel. Phew! Not happy with it at the moment. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to get Google to display it how I'd like it.
Googled you and saw it. That's a great start, Dan!
You can now claim it and tell Google what you'd like to add/edit. I guess your Wikipedia post is your home entity. Google is taking all information from there.
It says you're a rabbi.
What do you want Google to say about you? Writer? Then make sure to edit your Wikipedia page and all the other online presences.
Start with Dan Ehrenkrantz is a writer 😊 if that's what you want or author because you're an award winning author.
Educate the child that is Google. For more I recommend checking out my resources.
Unfortunately Wikipedia doesn’t allow me to edit. Is there a way I can get Google to switch my home entity? I don’t remember if this was covered in the video.
Hi Dan! I saw your KP. Congratulations!! Google recognizes you and you are inside its library. Well if Wikipedia does not allow you to edit your information and you wish to switch your entity home, you can create a dedicated "About Me" page on your "writer website" so this will now serve as your new Entity Home. Then, update any other authoritative sources that reference you with the link to your new Entity Home so they point back to this page.
You can also claim your KP and use the "feedback" button so people from Google will be able to review the changes you want. And don't forget to supply links corroborating your request, including at least one independent source alongside your own website. :)
Ugh. I’ve got two websites—one that’s dedicated to consulting and one author site. I think I should close the consulting site and upgrade the writer site—probably with a different host. If I did this, the answer to your question would be the writer site.
Thanks for sharing this information, but I still don't fully understand what I need to do to get a KP. It seems like I don't have one yet. I know that I don't want to be "a nobody," though. For my "About" section on Substack I have simply followed Substack's suggested template. Should I rewrite it to maximize my chances to obtain a KP? https://realgaijin.substack.com/about
Thanks for your response. "Real Gaijin provides commentary, reporting, and analysis about what is going on in Japan from the perspective of a long-term expat from America."
Well, since I don't know what KP is, I haven't claimed it yet ;-). I'll be on the lookout. Is that something in the Substack School or in Jason's interview? I haven't finished watching the interview.
Apologies. KP= knowledge panel. You have one and you can claim it. So I guess you don't know about this option. We talk about this in the interview and we'll discuss it in our community so I got you covered ❤️
Google thinks your entity home is Google Books. The description is taken from your book Fearless.
I couldn't see you website on the first page. Do you have one?
Jason shared with me that it's super important to have your own entity home = your website.
There are so many writers telling us we only need to write on Newsbreak or Medium or Substack and that's it.
But that's not enough. We can't control any of these platforms. The only platform we can control is our website. So my recommendation is to build one and show your books there more prominently with images so Google can learn more about you and your books.
For more, I recommend watching my video with Jason because there are so many nuggets of information.
Hope this helps already. You can also post this question in the comments on YouTube and Jason will reply there. He isn't on Substack.
Hi Jana, as far as I know my husband listened to it on audible and told me about it. Great tip!
I guess you're an avid Grant fan and I can trust your recommendation. So I'll definitely have to give it a listen.
It's great that there are so many English-speaking authors here on Substack, such as Adam Grant. I'd love to see some German authors here too. I'll be honest... I LOVE romance novels. If I mentioned a German author's name (except thriller author Charlotte Link maybe), you wouldn't know them and not all of them have a Google Knowledge Panel.
Be sure to visit our Substack School for the additional interview part. You can ask questions there and the checklist will also be available. We will have more to say about this in the next few days. :) Talk soon

Apparently my name is a very common name on Google 🫣 I have a little bit of work to do to make a name for myself 🙃

New to me. Thank you Kristina.

Here’s mine, but I’d love it to add author!

Mentioned yours inside Substack School, Charlotte. Impressive and magical
Wow. I’d actually forgotten about keeping google fed!! I definitely need to up my SEO game! Thank you for this!

Thanks Kristina. Yes. Website and all the socials but LinkedIn is my favourite

My writer site can be accessed at www.danehrenkrantz.com
Hi Dan, sure :) we can educate Google on our home entity. Which site would this be in your case?

Hi Mark, I think your About tells a lot about your publication, who it serves and who you are. That's great.
Can you tell me in one or two sentence who you are? 😊
Think about what you want Google to say about you and make sure to connect all socials and platforms you're writing on.
Thanks for your response. "Real Gaijin provides commentary, reporting, and analysis about what is going on in Japan from the perspective of a long-term expat from America."
Fascinating...my link is https://heartspoken.com/mygooglepanel
AWESOME panel, Elizabeth! 👏😃😃 Is there anything you'd like to add or are you happy with it?
You're definitely a writer. Google must know 🎉
Thanks for your comment on YouTube ❤️
Added the exclusive part to Substack School so you can watch it.
In the future we'll have longer exclusive interview parts.
Have you claimed your KP yet?

Hah -- found it! Yes, I claimed it. Haven't gone through the verification yet, but I will. Thanks again!
Great information as always Kristina. Here’s my link.

Hello Rejoice, great! You have one. Party time.
Have you already claimed your KP and do you want to present your books even more prominently?
I claimed my KP. How do I present my books more prominently?

Keep me in the loop 🌸
Thanks for sharing - amazing stuff. Off the subject a bit, but did you read Hidden potential yet? Awesome 🙌🏻 the best from A Grant so far
