I swear a lot in real life so it’s a great piece to fuel my thinking on that. I’ve debated swearing verbally and in writing for a while! Always great to add another perspective :)
I enjoyed learning from this post. I don't use swear words in my writing, but as an editor of a magazine filled with creative writing, I need to be aware of how and when cursing has a place in a piece. Thank you.
It’s all about the journey of self-aware leadership taking the reader through why it’s important, where they might travel and how they could get there! Aiming to have an accompanying journal and self-awareness compass quiz too. Fingers tightly crossed!!!!
There are some updates here and the page will have a revamp over Christmas
I use curse words sparingly — I consider them as I would a very strong flavoring in food. Just enough to give the dish a kick. Too much, and the whole thing tastes nasty. Also, it depends on what you're cooking up: I wouldn't put garlic in brownies, for instance, but it works great in pasta with pesto.

I need to watch that YouTube video. If only I had some freaking time. ;-)
I rarely ... nah, I used to rarely swear. My wonderful teacher told us that swearing was a sign of a deficient vocabulary.
But since I began to play World of Warcraft, I found myself using the F-word a lot when fighting players of the opposite faction. "F... f.... f... f... I'm dying!" or "He must f-ing die!"
I rarely use it in writing because I find that using another letter or a sign is just weak. Either swear or swear not. There is no try. (Oops. Channeled my inner Yoda.)

Awesome as always! Keep doing what you do. Great new video by the way
“If you don't swear often, you can apparently use swearing effectively because you drop a bomb.
It’s just that, a bomb.”
That’s my approach too!
This is hilarious!!! Thank you. I think I have about 5 swear words in my book, coming out in April. I do appreciate a well placed swear word!
Hi Nia, thanks for restacking! Means a lot. 5 swear words? How many pages will your book have? Tell me more. If you have a link, feel free to share it
About 220 I think! Formatting yet to be done!

I don't have any hangups about swearing when I write. If it fits and feels appropriate I'll drop an f-bomb.
Occasionally I'll use punctuation like sh!t to get the point across. 😁
I do swear in everyday conversation so it feels natural to write it when the situation arises.
This is why one of my favorite Medium pieces is called “Motherfucker’s Day Has Come.” I had a fucking ball writing it!
Need to read this asap 😂
I had so much fun writing it: https://medium.com/p/48fb8e0136b1
